Alisa Smith-Kayal, DDS, her husband and twin daughters reside in the Chesapeake area. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, traveling, working with Girl Scouts, and volunteering in the community.

About:
Dr. Claudia Diaz Jimenez, or simply Dr. “D,” is a firm believer in Mother Teresa’s prolific quote, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” Having this ideology exemplified by her own mother throughout her life, Dr. D brings this approach into her dentistry and loves seeing the patients she cares for smiling with confidence. With over 20 years of dental experience, Dr. D provides a wide range of comprehensive and compassionate dental care, and has been with the Konikoff Family Dentistry team since 2021.
Outside of the office, Dr. D spends her free time practicing body combat, swimming, hiking, dancing to Latin music, traveling, and spending time with her husband.

Kristine E. Barrett, DMD believes in comprehensive care. This involves not only addressing any immediate concerns patients may have, but also seeing the bigger long-term picture in a patient’s treatment plan. She is passionate not only about treating every patient with care, but also customizing plans as she understands everyone has different needs. Through her advanced training that goes beyond her DMD, she has worked with various specialists (oral surgeon, endodontist, periodontist, advanced general) to further her skills as a general dentist.
She enjoys staying healthy through various physical fitness routines like cycling, body combat, yoga, and HIIT. But she can also be quite a “foodie” when it comes to finding the best spots to eat or creating a delicious meal of her own in the kitchen. Her free time is mostly spent appreciating quality time with family and friends, playing with her new pup, and escaping to Disney World when given the opportunity.

About:
Dr. Shreya Patel knew she wanted to be a dentist since she was 12 years old. Dr. Patel is well experienced in a majority of dental treatment procedures, such as complex restorative, crowns and bridges, full mouth rehabilitation, oral surgery and molar root canals. She also offers Invisalign, sleep apnea appliances, cosmetic (implant and reconstructive) dentistry to improve esthetics and function for patients.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association and pays keen interest to clinical applications, advancement and research in dentistry. In her free time, she remains updated on the latest technology and continues to sharpen her dental skills with continuing education courses. Her hobbies include hiking, traveling and cooking different cuisines from all over the world.
